Valentine's Day!

My growing tummy. 22 weeks.
Mila looked so cute, but she was being so squirmy that we didn't get one picture with her eyes open. Sam got us some flowers too, but our vase is still packed up somewhere so they have been living in one of our giant root beer mugs.

Our romantic dinner.

We ended up celebrating Valentine's Day on President's Day instead. We made homemade fetuccini alfredo (so yummy), breadsticks, salad, and chocolate lava cakes for dessert. We dressed up even though we stayed home. It was actually kind of nice to have Valentine's dinner with our little Valentine. Between Mila's birthday on the 13th and Valentine's Day, we spent the entire weekend celebrating. What a good weekend!

She's Stuffing Her Shirt Already!

I'm not sure if she's trying to make her tummy look like mine or not. She came out of her bedroom with all of this stuff in her shirt saying, "tummy, tummy," over and over again while giggling. I helped her clean her shirt out and all of this stuff was inside.

Happy 2nd Birthday Mila!

On February 13th, Mila turned 2! I can't believe that my little baby is 2! At the same time though, it has been a long 2 years. We didn't do anything too exciting for her birthday. We did go to Roanoke for most of the day because we really wanted to get out of town and go to some stores other than Walmart. I miss living in Orem where Target was less than a 5 min drive away.
When we got home, we had some cake, Mila opened some presents, and I spent the rest of the night putting together Mila's new kitchen while poor Sam took an exam. Don't worry though, Mila gave me plenty of "help."

Mila tried, with no success, to blow out the candles.

She dug into her cake before we even gave her a fork!
One of Mila's biggest obsessions right now are these little ducks, who also enjoyed the birthday celebration. We already had the big one, but every time we go to my Dr's office they give her a new little one. They are so cute, and she's so funny because she takes them everywhere. There are actually two more, so she's always hauling around this family of 5 little duckies.

Mila's kitchen pre-set up. There were TONS of pieces.

Mila's kitchen after. She loves it so much! She spends so much time playing with it. The little burners light up and make noise like there's boiling water or something frying in a pan.

We're Having A Baby...

...and it's a BOY!
Pretty much everyone who looks at this blog is our family, so you all already know that we are having another baby. We went to our 20 week ultrasound on Thursday and found out that we are having a BOY!!! That's pretty exciting because on both sides of the family there is a total of 14 grandchildren with this little guy being number 15, and so far there are only 3 other boys. Sorry these pictures are such poor quality, but we just took pictures of the ultrasound pictures which were already not very clear. The first one is a facial profile picture, and the second one is the "it's a boy" picture. The boy parts have a light circle around them if that helps.
As usual, I didn't post forever so there are a lot of new ones. There are some on the next page as well.

Oh, Mila...

Mila loves to put on other people's shoes. This morning she put on my rain boots which were so tall that she couldn't walk in them. It made her really mad.
I've been having a really hard time keeping Mila out of gum. She always seems to find it. She keeps putting more and more pieces in every time she gets a hold of it. This particular gum wad is 6 1/2 sticks! She could barely swallow, and she couldn't chew at all. Mila, Mila, Mila...

Once There Was A Snowman

We've been getting TONS of snow here in Virginia the last few weeks so we have been singing the Snowman Song with Mila a lot. When I came home from class the other day, I drove up and saw Sam and Mila playing in the snow. They built their very own snowman together.

Mila's best friend ELMO!

Before we left Ohio this summer, Aunt Erin gave Mila a talking Elmo. For a while, Elmo endured many beatings at the hands of Mila, so he doesn't talk so well anymore, but she has been trying to make up for treating him so badly. These pictures are evidence that Mila has changed her ways.
Mila gives Elmo lots of rides in the baby carriage.
Elmo enjoys many meals with Mila. She usually even gives him a few bites.
Elmo enjoys many relaxing afternoons in the bouncer. As you may have already noticed, Elmo has been wearing a dress. Mila even let him borrow some of her boots since the weather has been so bad.

Made in the Shade

Mila loves to wear sunglasses, well any glasses really, but these are the only ones we have in her size. A couple of Sundays ago, she found my sunglasses in the diaper bag, and when she had them on she wanted everyone to see her wearing them. Now, for everyone who knows Mila well, you know she is very shy and pretty much hates everyone, so this was really funny for me to watch. She would walk up to the end of the pew and stand there looking at everyone until someone smiled or laughed at her. To top it all off, she had the same face on that she has in the second picture because my sunglasses were way too big, and she was trying to hold them onto her face. What a silly little gal we have.

Our Own Baby Mozart

Mila loves to play the piano. Usually it's just a lot of pounding, but sometimes she does manage to play something that resembles a tune. I can't wait to teach her some little songs!

Travel Buddies

While we were getting packed up to leave for Ohio for Christmas, I told Mila that we needed to get all of her stuff together and get her coat on because we were going for a ride. When I came back out to the kitchen she had all of her little animal buddies waiting at the door for take off. Sometimes she does the funniest things.

A Visit to Santa

We took Mila to see Santa Claus when we were in Ohio, and it went exactly how I thought it would. She freaked out, screamed, and clung to me like a wild cat. Consequently, I had to hold her and stand next to Santa. She still stared him down. Then, we waited for Santa to leave, and we borrowed his chair for a few more pictures. Oh Mila.

Sleepy Baby

I came in the room, and she was sound asleep like this. I woke her up with the camera.

It seems like all babies sleep like this. How is it comfortable?!

For a few weeks, we kept finding her asleep in the rocking chair.
