Mila is Thankful for Family

I was so happy because Mila actually warmed up to the family when we visited for Thanksgiving. She enjoyed hanging out with Tori and she loved playing with Caylee. This was the first time that I have actually seen her really try to play with another baby. She goes upstairs and plays with Zara every day when I am at school, but I obviously don't get to see that, so it was nice to see her with other kids. She didn't always play nice though since she kept stealing Caylee's toys.

Caught in the Act

Mila is entertained so much more by regular stuff and my stuff than she is my her own toys. So lately I have been giving her markers to play with while we are in the bedroom. They are a good size for her to grab, and she likes the different colors. She couldn't get them open either so I thought I was safe. Not so. When I was packing our stuff to go to Ohio for Thanksgiving I looked up to see Mila with the uncapped black marker in her mouth. I do not know how she managed, but she did. It gave me a good laugh though! She didn't get it on the bed or her clothes though so that's probably why I could laugh about it. I doubt I will be so lucky next time!

Rooting for the Knights

This is Mila and me watching Sam play at a football game. It was so cold that night, but we bundled up and snuggled. Mila kept staring at the lights and doing this hilarious squinty face that she usually does when the sun gets in her eyes. We tried to get a picture of it, but none of them really turned out. The top picture was the best try.

A Smile!

I love this little outfit. She looked so cute in it that I had to get a picture. She liked it so much that she actually smiled for the picture! I was pretty excited. What a cute little gal!

Sam's Stache

What a handsome man! Even with that goofy mustache. Actually, the football team grew them and then they had a "Stache Bash" at the end of the season. At first he looked like he had a Mexi-stache, but once it grew in I thought he looked like a state trooper. The bottom picture is the start of the stache. He's also wearing my sunglasses to top off the look.

Halloween!

I am so late at putting these up! Mila and I went trick-or-treating in Lexington with our friends Nicky and Zara. We pretty much just went along for the ride because Mila obviously doesn't eat candy yet. She did get a toothbrush though which she continues to love. It is one of the best ways to keep her quiet in church. I don't get it though. She will play with the toothbrush for a really long time, but at night when I try to brush her teeth with the blue rubber toothbrush finger she never wants to cooperate. Go figure!

Miss Mila Au Naturale

It is so funny getting Mila ready for her bath each night because she loves to be naked. She has discovered her tongue and so she sticks it out all the time. Now that she does this all the time I have found myself doing it too like when I am concentrating or writing. Look how cute her little bum is!

Snoozers

Sam and Dad enjoying each other's company when we visited Ohio at the end of October.

Mila Out and About

Mila loves to go on walks! When it was a little warmer we would walk from our apartment up to the school and meet Sam after football practice so we could all ride home together.

Baby Blues

I just thought she looked so cute! I love when she wears blue because it makes her eyes look really blue. I wish that I could get a picture of Mila smiling though. The lights on the camera always freak her out so she stops smiling and always has this deer-in-the-headlights look on her face. This is about as good as it's going to get as far as a smile goes.

Play Time

Mila loves playing in this saucer toy. She gets it rocking so hard that she rocks it all the way across the room. It has been fun to slowly watch her learn to use all of the toys. Some of them she couldn't get at first, but she has them all down now.

Behind Bars

Anytime you open up Mila's door, this is what you'll see. She is such a light sleeper and almost anytime you open up her door her little head pops up and she looks at you through the bars. It is so cute. Well, usually. Sometimes she is looking through the bars screaming, but most of the time she is just happy to see you.

What Big Teeth You Have!

Mila has teeth!! She obviously has two bottom teeth, but right now her two front teeth are making their way in. She is so good when she is teething that I never even know that teeth are coming in until they are right about to pop through. Both times she's been teething she's just been a little bit cranky and I've thought that she was just being kind of a brat, but then when I go to brush her teeth at night she suddenly has teeth! Her bottom teeth crack me up because she always moves her jaw kind of crooked so her teeth are off to the side. She just looks so cute when she does it.

Bathing Beauty!

I need to try and get a better picture of this, but since Mila has barely any hair when she is in the tub I always get her head really soapy and then I "style" the suds so it looks like she has hair. When her suds are styled like this I always imagine her asking me where her lederhosen are.

Look at that Stud!!

Sam is warming up his arm before he gets in the game. He was doing really well at quarterback and had been starting, but about 2 weeks ago he separated his shoulder in a game. He probably will not play for another couple of weeks while his shoulder heals a little. Luckily it was not his throwing arm injured, but it's still too painful to play. It won't fully recover until after the season, but he may get to a point where he can play through it.

Couch Potatoes

Mila was watching the history channel with Papa. She loved it so much that she would not even look away to get her picture taken!

Future Cowgirl

Mila loves to rock herself back and forth. So when we went up to Papa and Grandma's at the beginning of August I tried to see if she would like riding the little pony and she loved it! She actually could rock herself really well, but we had to stay right beside her or she would fall. She was still pretty new at sitting up all alone at that point.

Yum! Yum!

This was Mila's first time eating cereal actually sitting up. We usually fed her sitting in her bouncer so she was laying back a little. I wish that you could see it better, but she had cereal all over the place! She would let entire spoonfuls dribble down her chin.

25th Birthday!

Thank you Mom and Dad, Ruth, Jared, and Gordon for calling me on my birthday, I really appreciated it. My birthday went great! The first part of the day wasn't that good because I had to go to work and that is rarely fun, but I have to make some money. When I got home though, the day turned wonderful. We had fajitas for dinner and fruit and yogurt parfaits for dessert. I'm trying to get ready for football camp in a month so I'm eating as healthy as possible. After dinner I got my presents and I seriously got everything I was hoping for and more. Mom and Dad and Sue and Steve got me some new shoes, which are sooo comfortable. Jenae got me an electric shaver which I've been wanting for a very long time, and Erin got me some really nice Nike golf balls and split a Walmart gift card with Megan which was just what I needed to get the rest of my football gear. To all of my family on both sides, I love you very much!

P.S. I can't forget the wonderful nike compression shirt Marc and Nicky gave me.

Father's Day

I was acting like I was so awesome for the bouquet of flowers I made for Mother's Day and look at what Jenae made for me. A bouquet of golf balls on tees, what a woman! She took the time to paint each tee green, then hot glue them together. The other pictures are showing you what we did with those golf balls. I took Jenae out golfing for the first time and it was a lot of fun, even though I got a little angry at first because people were right on our tail and the women were holding us up. I need to learn to just have fun, but oh well. It was a wonderful Father's Day!

Let's Go Swimming!

Mila's first swimming experience was a day to remember. She looked so cute in her little yellow swimsuit and was having a great time until she touched the water, then Oh Man did she get mad. Her whole body stiffened up she started to scream. I was laughing while she was crying, we had a great time. Hopefully next time the water will be a little warmer because she loves taking baths, but the water was just too cold that day.

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a great Mother's Day and as you can see, Me and Marc got creative. We made a dozen roses out of green and red napkins. You are probably thinking we are awesom husbands and you are right. Marc and I had been planning this for a couple of weeks and Jenae says to me two nights before Mother's Day, " You should make some roses out of napkins." It ruined the surprise a little, but it worked out fine. Jenae is a wonderful mother and wife and I am sooooooo grateful that I have her. Me and Mila Love her so so much!

Little Miss Mila

Sorry everyone for how long it has taken to get some new pictures up. We have been busy, but mostly lazy. Things have been going good and Mila is growing very quickly, possibly more round then tall as you can see. She is alot of fun and is making new noises everyday. She loves to gargle! It seems to be a comfort for her when she gets upset. She has some HUGE cheeks and everyone loves to squeeze them. A few weeks ago she started eating rice, we had to shovel it in as fast as we could because she was loving it.

Grandma and Grandpa Trulock

Mila enjoying a visit to Grandma and Grandpa's house.

All Smiles

The definition of happiness for Mila: Aunt Terra's pillow. Thank you Terra!

Jenae and Amy

This is Amy, Jenae's roomate from college and her baby Lucy. Mila and Lucy hit it off right away. Mila was literally hitting poor Lucy because she still hasn't figured out how to control her chubby little arms.

What a Mess

Mila meant to get this mess on mommy, but her plan backfired.
