Meet Emmitt Samuel!

Emmitt Samuel Trulock made his grand entrance into this world on June 22nd at 7:32 p.m. He was 7 lbs. 15 oz. and 19 1/4 in. long.

It was kind of a whirlwind delivery. I wasn't sure I was in labor for most of the day. We were walking up to the hospital entrance at 5:50 and he was born at 7:32! I couldn't believe how fast it happened. I only pushed for about 15 minutes, and that was really the only hard part about it. It was a pretty rough and intense 15 minutes, make no mistake about that, but we made it through with a handsome, healthy boy. He even has a little man dimple in his chin which I was hoping for :)

Sadly, we do not have a great face picture of him on our camera from right after birth. I will have to look at my mom's. These will have to do for now. So far, he is the sweetest, most cuddly baby. Mila is adjusting better than I thought she would, but I really have to watch her because she will literally smother Emmitt with kisses. I'm at my parents recuperating so things still feel manageable since my mom cooks and there are lots of people to help out with Mila and the baby. We'll see how I feel in a few weeks.

I have not posted forever and there are so many things we've done in the last month that I wanted to share, but at this point I'm guessing that's not going to happen. So, we'll just move on from here.
