Mila is 4!!!

How did this happen?! Ah, how quickly they grow. She talked about her birthday coming up for months and months, so I wanted to make it special. I had wanted to do a fun and bigger party, but we all got sick. We still got together with cousins and played for a bit and exchanged Valentines. Our friends, the Binghams, stopped by to drop off a present for Mila and have some cake and ice cream. She was soooo happy they came since Tanner is one of her very best friends. She talks about him all the time :)
She insisted we bring a balloon for everyone.

Decorating a bag for her Valentines. With her birthday being February 13th, she should probably get used to having her birthday and Valentines mixed a little.

I took her to the store and let her choose what cake she wanted. She picked Funfetti, and we made fun, colored icing by mixing some Kool-Aid mix into the icing.

 Making a wish!

This girl could not wait to open presents!

This was her face every time she opened a present.

I love that Tanner hopped up on the chair with her for present opening. I was so excited to give Mila this piggy bank. Every time we go to Target she has to kiss every piggy bank that she sees. This has been going on for about two years. I found this one on clearance for $2.40!

Mila is so much fun right now! She says so many funny things! She sings all the time (recently she has been singing the songs by Elton John from Gnomeo and Juliet). Her favorite color is definitely pink. She is a great big sister. She loves to color and do art projects. She knows all her letters and is working so hard to write them all. She is obsessed with mermaids! Almost every day she says, "Mom, I wish I was a mermaid." She practices being a mermaid in the bathtub and wants to take swimming lessons so she can become a mermaid. I don't have the heart to tell her it's not going to happen! She loves to do things for other people. She wants to make a cake (mixing flour and sugar) and wrap presents (some of her toys) for Sam every day to give to him when he gets home from work. I could go on and on!
WE LOVE YOU MILA!

  3. Happy Birthday Mila! It is so crazy our little girls are so old! I just read your post on my blog. We will be here for a while...probably about 2 1/2 more years. We would LOVE to get together this summer. It is crazy how close we live and we haven't gotten together yet. We need to chat on the phone and work something out. I have the same number I had in Utah. 801.691.8631. Love ya tons!

  5. Happy Birthday Mila! Incidentally Brian's favorite cake mix is also Funfetti, which I think is a little shameful seeing that he's not a 4 year old girl.
